Bible Tours

with Pastor Bob Guaglione

Pastor Chuck Smith, founder of the Calvary Chapel movement, has remarked that a week in the Holy Land equals a year in seminary. We agree wholeheartedly.

At ccdelco we are committed to taking groups to the lands where Jesus, David, and the Patriarchs walked, as well as the countries where the early church was planted through the missionary journeys of Paul, Timothy, Barnabas, and the early disciples. Stepping upon the soil of the lands where so many biblical events took place is truly a privilege.

Pastor Bob leads a biblical tour every other year. Please browse the trips we offer below.

Israel

Next Trip: April 2018 - stay tuned for details!
Last Trip: April 2016

"...into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey..." (Deut. 8:7-8)

From Beersheba to Dan, Scripture will come alive as you journey through what God's Book itself calls the Holy Land. You can hide where David hid from Saul, you can stand where Elijah stood against the prophets of Baal, and you can walk where Jesus walked. You can even get baptized in the Jordan River. If you can go on only one Bible tour, this should be it.

Out of Egypt: Egypt & Israel

Next Trip: TBD
Last Trip: Fall 2011

"...to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, 'flowing with milk and honey,' the glory of all lands." (Ez. 20:6)

Get a feel for what the children of Israel experienced on their way to the Promised Land. See the glories of ancient Egypt - the Nile, the pyramids, the treasures of Tutankhamen, and more - then journey through the wilderness to Mt. Sinai. Optional: Trek up Mt. Sinai and watch the sunrise from the top. All this and Israel too.

Footsteps of Paul II: Greece & Italy

Next Trip: Fall 2020
Last Trip: Fall 2013

"When these things were accomplished, Paul purposed in the Spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia...'I must also see Rome.'" (Acts 19:21)

Check out the video teaser from our last trip.

Footsteps of Paul I: Greece, Patmos, Ephesus

Next Trip: TBD
Last Trip: 2005

"...when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia...a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, 'Come over to Macedonia...'" (Acts 16:6, 9)

In this tour of Greece and points east, secular and church history will come alive. We will travel from Philippi, the site of the first European converts to Christ, through Thessalonica to Athens and Corinth. A short cruise will bring us to a number of lovely Greek islands, including Patmos, where the exiled Apostle John penned Revelation. Ephesus, on the coast of Turkey, rounds out the trip.

Churches of Revelation: Turkey

Next Trip: TBD

"What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea." (Rev. 1:11)

From the mountain-top acropolis of Pergamum to Ephesus, listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, we will visit the modern-day versions of the seven cities Jesus spoke to in the opening chapters of Revelation. The tour will include Hierapolis, the city where the Apostle Philip is said to have lived and been martyred, and the ruins of Colossae.
