God’s
Leading
The
Pastors and Elders prayerfully believe that
our season of ministry at TCA is
coming to a close. Though we will continue
to use this facility for most of our ministry
activity; Wednesday night services, special
events, youth ministry as well as daily offices,
we believe God has granted us an open door
at the Theatre to reach more people for Christ
on Sunday mornings.
Desire
to be in the Community
For
years we have felt somewhat hidden
in our current facilities. We believe that
doing church in downtown Media will create
a buzz in Southern Delaware County.
Imagine the impact on the community as every
Sunday hundreds of Christians flock to downtown
Media.
Room
for Growth
As
God continues to bless our work at our current
facility, we are running out of room. Ministry
in the sanctuary, as well as the Children’s
Journeyland, has become uncomfortably crowded.
Currently there is limited number of seats
at our optimal inviting service,
10:00am . Increasingly it has become more
difficult to do ministry with excellence
in our current situation. Although church
health is not measured by numbers, we do believe
that we must be diligent to serve those God
is bringing, as well as to fulfill the great
commission.
TCA
Land Transition
Although
the TCA facility has been a great home for
us over the last 8 years, the future is uncertain.
The TCA has sold all the surrounding property
to a land developer. The development of this
property will greatly impact our ability to
provide adequate parking, thus affecting ministry
across the board. We are thankful to God for
His provision in this season of our church
life.
A
Venture in Faith
The
early years at CCDC were exciting adventures
in faith. Starting with a Home Fellowship,
moving to the Barnstormer Theatre, and renovating
our current facility has been a wonderful
journey. We now believe God is providing us
with an opportunity to stretch our faith and
rally together around a new cause. This is
a chance for us to link arms together in a
venture of faith and see what God will do.
