Robert Banks

Bob Banks was raised in Harrisburg PA before attending Penn State University, where he majored in Chemical Engineering. Upon graduation in 1963 he married Judy and began a 37-year career in the oil industry. In 1976 Bob accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord after reading a Campus Crusade for Christ booklet. As a result, Bob became an active leader in his local church and several para-church organizations throughout his working career.

Bob and Judy became active at CCDC in 1999 and led a marriage builders study in their home. Upon retiring from Sunoco, Inc. in 2000, Bob assumed responsibility for CCDC’s small group ministry and later led mission trips to NYC and Kenya. In September 2002, Bob became CCDC’s fourth pastor.

Bob and Judy reside in Newtown Square PA where they host a couple’s home fellowship. They both enjoy fishing and hiking, and hosting guests at their cottage in Wayne County PA. They have two adult, married children and two granddaughters.
