"Never boring" is how Steve
describes the abundant life in Jesus. Steve
grew up in Bucks County, PA but it was
in San Diego, CA that Steve became aware
of his need for a Savior. It was 1983 when
Steve and Duff Bottorff were shipmates
aboard the attack submarine USS Haddock.
Duff consistently and persistently invited
Steve to church services and to Bible study.
Tired of saying, "No," Steve
agreed to attend a Friday night Bible study,
and that is where Steve recognized his
need for a Savior and gave his life to
Jesus Christ.
In 1984 Steve married Kristen, who Steve
says is perfectly suited to the challenge
of being his wife and the mother of their
two children, Sheldon and Lyssi. Life was
good. In 1989 Steve and Kristen relocated
from Sacramento, California to southern
New Jersey. It was after moving East that
Steve met Bob Guaglione. Both men had much
in common to spur on their friendship --
both were married, had children of similar
ages, loved sports, and loved ministering
for Jesus. Steve has been a co-laborer
with Bob and has helped to fulfill his
vision to bring Calvary Chapel to Delaware
County since its birth in 1993.
Steve serves "The
God Who is too big to narrow down. If
we had a library
of songs as big as the world, we would
only begin to scratch the surface of Who
He is."
