We are often asked; “How do I get
connected at Calvary Chapel?” The best
way to answer that question is to describe
a process.
Step
1 – Come
to church and experience our Sunday morning
and/or Wednesday evening
worship services. Calvary Chapel does not
have a formal membership process; our doors
are open to all who seek to worship God.
Step
2- Calvary Chapel
can be considered a “big” church;
our desire is to grow smaller as we get
bigger. The way
we accomplish that is through Home Fellowships.
A Home
Fellowship is a small group Bible study
that meets regularly in homes throughout
the community. A Home Fellowship enables
you to get to know people at a deeper level
than is possible on Sunday morning or Wednesday
evening. A bulletin and map in the church
hallway or through a link on our website
will provide you the location and information
about a Home Fellowship that meets in your
neighborhood.
Step
3 – As you become familiar with
Calvary Chapel and begin to speak of it as “your
church” you will also begin to explore
the many areas of ministry and
volunteer service that are available for
you to use your gifts
and talents to serve God and the community.
Step
4 – Once you’ve identified
the area(s) that you might want to serve simply
ask someone who is already serving in that
area how you can get involved. Another option
is to set up an appointment to speak to a
pastor or ministry leader
about opportunities that may exist.
Summary
- Getting connected
is a two way street; it requires effort on
your behalf and a response from the church
community. If you feel as though you are
having difficulty connecting, please speak
with a pastor or staff member and we will
be delighted to help you through the process.
