Why Give?

When you become a fully devoted follower of Jesus, you will be marked by generosity. As followers of Christ, it is our call to give faithfully and sacrificially. We begin by tithing, which means giving 10% of our income.

We are also called to go beyond that 10%, to expand what God is doing locally and globally through offerings. At times through the year, we designate a time for our congregants to give to other causes. Here at ccdelco, we support 18 various ministry partners to ripple their effect for the Gospel.

When you give to ccdelco, you are supporting so many others. We thank you for your faithfulness to God and pray God's blessing to you.

FAQ

Can I trust online giving?
A plus icon to open up an FAQ tab.

We understand the importance of keeping your financial information safe. We are committed alongside you to keep your information secure and this is why we chose Church Center who partners with Plaid.

Plaid is a safe and secure way to connect your bank information. Many major banks and credit unions have partnerships with them. Plaid is also used by popular financial apps such as Venmo and Stripe. All information in Plaid is encrypted and ccdelco never has access to your login credentials (Read here for more information about Plaid security). We feel confident that Plaid is a safe and secure way to verify your bank information.

Where do my donations to ccdelco go?
A plus icon to open up an FAQ tab.

Donations to ccdelco support its General Operating Fund. This fund makes possible the day-to-day ministries and services of the church.

Special Funds: Periodically, opportunities become available to designate a donation to a specific ministry initiative with specific start and end dates. To designate your contribution to a specific fund, simply indicate the name of the initiative on the memo line of your check or on your envelope.

Will I receive a statement of contribution?

Yes, you will receive an annual statement of contribution for all donations for which you provided your name and address (cash contributions may be placed in an envelope with your name and address). All donations made to Calvary Chapel of Delaware County are held in the strictest confidence.

Statements of contributions are emailed in January (for the prior calendar year). If you do not have an email address currently on file in Church Center (our secure platform for giving), please call the church office at 610-459-8111 and ask for Martha Parrish. Before calling, check your spam inbox in your email by searching "Calvary Chapel Giving Statement."

What about that Innovate Academy tax credit program I saw?
A plus icon to open up an FAQ tab.

This is one of the best kept secrets: Pennsylvania offers an Educational Income Tax Credit that offers huge incentives to businesses (from small LLCs to major corporations) and individuals who use their tax credit towards education. Check out this video here to learn more about the program and how Contributions through EITC serve as a scholarship for under-resourced students that qualify at Innovate Academy. By designating your tax dollars to be used in this way, lives are changed... the life of the student receiving the scholarship, their family, and even their community.

To learn more, set up a call with Innovate’s Development Strategist, Terry Doyle by calling 610-505-7047 or emailing tdoyle@innovateacademy.com.

How does ccdelco uphold financial accountability?

"We want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this liberal gift.  For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man." - 2 Corinthians 8:20-21 (NIV)

We are committed to honoring God's provision by exercising wise and faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability to ensure the financial integrity of Calvary Chapel remains above reproach. We accomplish this through a system of internal controls and reporting process, including an annual review performed by an independent certified public accounting firm. Contact Pastor Bob Banks or call (610) 459-8111 to ask general questions about our financial practices.
